I agree with you 100%.  I beleave that you can't deny similarities between
the dinosaurs and birds, but to classify them as birds is just plain sin.
Your never really safe with saying that dinosaurs are birds or that
dinosaurs are reptiles.  I think that dinosaurs are their own class.  I've
recieved the latest issue of National Geographic and I can't help but to
notice the common features, but I can't help but to notice the differences.
Birds may have came from small theropods but just because of this, does not
mean that every small theropod after is a bird.
        We need to stop these "cult-hippy beliefs" and go for the more
plausable explination.  As Jack Horner so eliquently put it, "dinosaurs
don't have an avian phisique, they don't have a reptilian phisique, the
have a dinosaurian phisique."
