Some would say Homo sapiens was the most aggressive of all creatures. He
lost his brow ridges along with a general lightening of the skeleton, some
time after he started to expand his tool kit from spear and hand axe to a
very much larger set. Presumably at this time he never had to risk
contacting large animals directly.
Actually I've just realised - this doesn't tell us much since more ancient
man may have needed to look more aggressive especially if he wasn't as
powerful. I don't believe it though!
