You are completely correct. We frequently use a kanji which describes
'dragon' for naming of Japanese dinosaur.
'Futabasaurus' is introduced in Don Glut's 'Dinosaurs -The Encyclopdia'
(pp960) as a large theropod, but I've never heard of it.
'Futabasuzuki-ryu' is a plesiosaur which was found by Japanese amateur,
Suzuki, from Futaba FM in 1968.
