Re: Teaching about dinosaurs
Here are a few web sites which have free lesson plans which relate to
dinosaurs. You may implement the lessons as is, or use these ideas as a
springboard to your own classroom activities. Natural history museum web
sites also have some activities online.
U.C. Berkeley's "Learning From the Fossil Record" site
<www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/fosrec>
The Mining Company: Science for Kids. Click on "Parents and Teachers"
<http://kidscience.miningco.com/>
Education and the Internet: Dinosaurs
<www.millersv.edu/~edfound/intered/seclink/science/dino.html>
Newton's Apple: find "dinosaur" on the alphabetized list
<www.pbs.org/teachersource/science/inventory_elementary05.html>
Bill Nye episode guide: Find "fossil" and "dinosaurs" under "life sciences"
<www.disney.com/DisneyTelevision/Bill Nye/index.html>
I would be interested in any other resources or ideas anyone might have.
