Re: Fossilized Brain Tissue?
Neil,
Yes, I have a theory, the brain may have fossilized inside the skulls
braincase, and the
skull was battered and broken away in the river, (Missouri River in this case)
and the brain
then washed ashore and was found in a sand bank by Mike Tellman.
I have another friend Rich Hager just returned from MAPS. Rich told me he saw
6 (yes 6)
of the same type of brain fossil at the show. A dealer from Florida I beleive
had them. I do
not know the dealers name yet, but will try to locate him asap. Rich said the
dealer told him that the brain fossils were found in Fla. but no one knows the
origin or species of these unique little things. The dealer ventured that they
may be of fish origin, but, from the structure and comparative sizes of the
brain anatomy, I discount that concept.
So as soon as I find out more, I'll get back to you.
Carl
