You can find multiple skeletons without the animals necessarily being 
social.  It could very well be a sleight of hand of preservation.

Of course, it's entirely possible that they DID congregate without 
complex social relationships.  Marine iguanas and many other animals do.  
Doesn't support the pack-hunting scenario at all, though.
