New fossil find in Neuquen

A brief notice in today's papers and TV gives account of the finding of
a fossil, with an estimated date of about 85 mill. years, made by
construction workers while digging the foundations for a building, in
the center of the city of Neuquen (Argentina).
Last saturday, the workers were digging in soft ground in Argentina
Avenue at the center of the city, when they hit what they first thought
were roots from a nearby tree. When they excavated some more, they
realize the "roots" looked more like bone, so they notify the
Universidad del Comahue Museum of Paleontology. A team from the Museum,
which is due to start working on the finding today, has anticipated that
the fossil was a dinosaur and would have an estimated length of 8-9 m
(24-27 feet).
