"Dinosaur egg" trademark

The "dinosaur egg" trademark on plumcots should not represent any problem
whatsoever. In trademark law, goods are divided into a variety of classes,
and in general a name need only be unique within its class. The class of
"food products" is not going to interfere with, or raise the specter of
confusion with, real dinosaur eggs (which, at any rate, came first!). That
would be like worrying that Eagle (tm) Brand Snacks presented a problem for
ornithologists . . .

OTOH, I could swear that I have seen candy marketed as "dinosaur eggs."
That *is* a food product, and if there is such a pre-existing use of the
name (sound familiar, ICZN fans?) it would probably sink the plumcot
trademark.
