I recently purchased a snap-together Lost World Tyrannosaurus rex 
model kit from Revell-Monogram, which includes much useful data about 
the animal which should clear up some questions about it's lifestyle:

The Tyrannosaur's "Mode of Attack" was "Head bashing, flesh ripping."

"Speed: 15 to 25 mph."

"Life span: up to 100 years."

"Tyrannosaurus' skeleton shows broken bones, leading experts to 
believe that  it engaged in a lot of fights."
