The whole thing is kind of a red herring, isn't it? These fellows
appear to have hunted different kinds of prey, so developed
differently to cope with different challenges. If we're going
to apply anthropomorphic values on animals, it's probably better
just to say that the Tyr'ids and the Car'ids were the
top large predators of the Cretaceous.
