Well....  Dinosaurs are true reptiles, but then again so are birds....  I
believe Reptilia is cldistically defined as (+Turtles, +Crocs, +Lepidosaurs).
 So dinosaurs and pliosaurs (I believe) and birds are reptiles.  Pliosaurs,
are however not dinosaurs, just as dinosaurs aren't pliosaurs.
