Not racist, no. However, I have (as time goes by) gotten more and more
sensitive to an anti-Eastern (both East Asia and East Coast of the U.S.)
undertone in some of the dialog (here and elsewhere) concerning Sue: keep
her in (western) U.S. hands, private or not, if at all possible!

Indeed, & I whole-heartedly agree with that: keep her in museum hands, U.S.
or not, if at all possible.

And thank you. Sorry for the miscommunication on my part.

"To trace that life in its manifold changes through past ages to the present
is a ... difficult task, but one from which modern science does not shrink.
In this wide field, every earnest effort will meet with some degree of
success; every year will add new and important facts; and every generation
will bring to light some law, in accordance with which ancient life has been
changed into life as we see it around us to-day."
