There has been a large flap about this in recent years.I would go with
Tarbosaurus as the correct genus based on the comparitive studies
done.Tarbosaurus is VERY close in relation to the genus Tyrannosaurus
though.They're definitely similar enough though to make me suspect that
if they were familiar extant animals they would be put into the same
genus.For the final word I'd go to T.Holtz, G. Paul, or J.Farlow.
