Forthcoming Baryonyx paper
For those interested in interesting theropods (and who among us is not!):
At long last, the much-awaited Baryonyx walkeri monograph is just two days
(plus mailing time) away!
Charig, A.J. and A.C. Milner. 1997. _Baryonyx walkeri_, the fish-eating
dinosaur from the Wealden of Surrey. Bulletin of the Natural History Museum
Geology. 53: 11-70. According to info in the latest Bulletin of the SVP,
it includes detailed line drawings and a new full-page color restoration by
John Sibbick.
In checking with Dr. Milner, I found out that the publicatin date is June
26, so it is almost here.
For those interested in ordering covered separates of the paper (and thus,
getting a color copy of Sibbick's art), details for ordering are available
on pp. 60-61 of the latest issue (Number 170, June 1997) of the Bulletin of
the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
(And the race will be on to see who can incorporate the new data and
characters into their matrix first! :-)
