Okay, I've been good. Mickey, you KNOW I've been good. But this rips
it. Those of us who write less than academic material --- fluffy lil
"fun stuff" writers --- may not be able to claim extensive hours locked
away in University library vaults, but we do care about the quality of
our work --- Steven Spielbert and David Koepp (and yes, even yours
truly, modest girl dino writer Kelly Milner Halls) included.

We don't hit it right all the time, no. But reality check --- YOU don't
hit it right all the time either.

But that's not even the point. No one ever even suggested THE LOST
WORLD was a documentary. But they did have the sense and pocket book to
hire Jack Horner as a paleo consultant. That alone merits at least a
few brownie points for good intentions. AND...according to Jack (yes, I
did RESEARCH this, *gasp*), Spielberg frequently asked for Horner's
scientific opinions and once given, Spielbert took Horner's expert
perspective into consideration. So let's step down off the superiority
box for a while.

Sigh. Now I'll get back to writing about Oppenheimer's hydrocarbon
hungry microbes. It's not paleo, but a girl's gotta eat.
