OK, it's not new, but I only just got this and I haven't yet seen it mentioned
elsewhere..

The discovery hasn't 'heated up' the debate at all, and Morell's article is yet
another 'birds-are-dinosaurs-oh-no-they're-not'. The AMNH clad-crew vs. Feduccia
and his bizarre twisted logic. Can't science journalists think of any other
angle to take when writing these things? Surprise surprise, some real gem quotes
from Feduccia are provided, including "Neither one of these fossils [_Unenlagia_
is the other one] has anything to say about birds being related to dinosaurs...
it's a misrepresentation of the evidence to say they do." Of course.
 
Hey, I see Neil Clark has his first dinosaur book out. Way to go Neil. Some of
the illustrations are pretty good, but quite a few are mislabelled! 

And, a question.. the www site for the new Currie and Padian dinosaur
encyclopedia features a big colour illustrations of two little black and white
theropods walking through forest underbrush. What on earth are they?
