Announcement
I'm delighted to announce that renowned astronomical (and increasingly
well-known dinosaur)
artist Joe Tucciarone, my good pizza lunch buddy, rejoined the staff of
Astronaut Memorial
Planetarium and Observatory (Cocoa, Florida) today as our new Producer. Joe's
artwork, including his
dinosaur pictures, can be seen at his webpage,
http://members.aol.com/INTERSTELL/art.html. Jeff
Poling's Dinosauria-On-Line also has a selection of Joe's dinosaur work. In
fact, Joe recently wrote me:
"It's been about one year since you told me about Jeff
Poling's Dinosauria
OnLine site and his need for dinosaur images, which I sent him.
Since then,
I've received probably a hundred nice letters from people and
about a dozen
paying requests.
"Because of my exposure on Jeff's site, my dinosaurs are
appearing on half a
dozen museum interactive sites, a CD ROM, a poster by
Scholastic Books (with
a promise for more work to come), and now possibly on the
video jacket of
NOVA's (WGBH) "Case of the Flying Dinosaur" video for
sale!"
Jeff deserves a whole lot of credit here, but he modestly defers to Joe's
artistic talents. Jeff: You
don't know how many YEARS it took for me to convince Joe to get online!
If you haven't already checked out Joe's work, by all means please do so
as soon as possible. You
can reach Joe directly at interstell@aol.com. Be sure to congratulate him on
the birth of his and
Jennifer's daughter, April, two months ago. It was touch-and-go for both mother
and daughter, but now
April's weight is up to over six pounds (3 kg.). Joe and Jennifer are proud and
well-deserving parents.
