I am sorry that I can't answer any of Nick's questions, but I do worry about
some of the erect pterosaur restorations I've seen lately (JVP,V.17,No.1,
Pg.111). Let's hope there was not much in the way of winds in the Mesozoic. A
good spanking breeze and these boys would land on what my grandma called
their dupa on the beach (she was Polish). Surely they were as aerodynamic in
configuration as modern shorebirds, and wing folding had much to do with
this.
