Please stick to dinosaurs! (was Re: Official State Dinosaurs)

It was suggested a few weeks back that we have a message circulated
about once a month which contains administrivia about the dinosaur
list (what should and shouldn't be considered "appropriate", how to
unsubscribe, how to access the archives etc.)  I intend to write up
such a message as soon as I can.  In the mean time, please everyone,
try to stay on topic.  I personally don't want to see *any* messages
here which contain nothing but complaints about governments and taxes.
In this list's experience such messages lead to nothing but
unnecessary acrimony.  If you want to complain about such things, find
a more appropriate forum.
