Mosasaurs werw enormous sea-lizard (13-15 m long) of late Cretaceous.
Pliosaurs were a group of plesiosaurs, with a very large and long head and a
short neck. Common in Cretaceous, their are represented, among others, by
_Kronosaurus_, with the skull of 3 m long, the biggest reptile's skull.
_Quetzalcoatlus northropi_ had an estimate wing width of up to 12 m and it
could have weighted about 86 kg (based on W. Langston, Jr.). It is known the
left humerus, a forelimb's bone, of 75 cm, found in Big Bend National Park,
western Texas, in 1971. In the same area it has been found later a smaller,
right humerus (24 cm long), but it's not known if it belong to an immature
individual of the same species.
