I had this book out from the library a few weeks ago.  IN THE SHADOW OF
THE DINOSAURS: EARLY MESOZOIC TETRAPODS is a lot like DINOSAUR EGGS AND
BABIES.  It's a collection of high-powered papers about exactly what the
title says they're about: non-dinosaurian tetrapods of the Triassic and
Early Jurassic periods.  Thecodonts, crocodiles, lizards, marine
reptiles, therapsids, mammals, even one or two about amphibians.  As far
as I can recall, drawings and sketches are the kind of clinical,
anatomical things you would expect to find in papers written for the
Journal of Paleontology.  It's not meant as light reading -- it's meant
as a high-quality reference, possibly even as secondary reading for a
senior undergrad or graduate vert-paleo class.  

Price on the hardcover is something like $79 US.  Check Amazon.com --
they have a listing for it.  Amazon's database also has an entry for a
softcover edition at either $39.95 or $49.95 US, but it's not actually
been released yet.
