I'm another CG person on the list. See my web site for more info
about what I do. What makes you think they used IK as opposed
to very hand-tuned keyframing?
Today's 3D tools are affordable and relatively easy to use. I wish
they'd be in more common use among researchers. If you
wish that JP and LW aren't realistic enough when it comes to motion,
you can make your own version of the movie.
