I think that this is an outrage! I think that the information that Mr.
Tanke gave us was interesting, useful, exciting, and insightful. For those
of us not attached to a museum, it gave an incling as to what happens at a
museum in a year (the amount of time covered by the reports). I think that
the Tyrrell needs to hear that MANY of us appreciated the time spent
spreading the information. I think the Tyrrell needs to put away some of
their egotism and realise the great service that Mr. Tanke was doing for it.
He was one of the best advertisements going. He made it sound like it was
alive, exciting, and ongoing. What better way of advertising Day and Week
digs that to give a running account of what is being found.

I do not think that anybody who did their homework on this list (like
looking at his bio in the archives) would ever make this mistake. However,
he is a published man, in reputable journals. He has done years of lab work
and field work. DR. John Horner holds no degrees (just an honourary one).
Nobody (especially me) would ever question his right to call himself a
scientist. This aside, I think that there were never any false pretenses.

I think those of you who truly enjoyed the information given by Mr. Tanke
might want to take a moment out of your busy schedule and let the Tyrrell
know exactly what the posts meant to you. Maybe, cooler heads will prevail.

Saddened and sickened,
