This change was called for by Elmer S. Riggs back in the early 1900s and was
formalized by Holland in 1916. There's no excuse for continuing to use
_Brontosaurus_ in place of _Apatosaurus_. >>
well, then there is a problem, because that is what we are taught. I just
learned in the spring semester that the brontosaurus is apatosaurus. I had
never even heard of apatasaurus until this spring. that is pretty sad that
in 21 years of education i was never taught apatosaurus, especially since
this is not a recent change
