STONE SWALLOWING FOR BALLAST

Ben and anyone else interested;
        Fur seals swallow stones, presumably for ballast and regurgitate them in
the Pribilof Islands when they come ashore to breed. Result is a huge
number of rounded stones of all lithologies on the beaches of the strictly
volcanic Pribilofs!!!
