Asoc. Sci. Mus. Directors
A couple of days ago I posted the text of two resolutions that "srongly
oppose" the proposed Johnson/Skeen Fossil Protection Act. The resolutions
were passed unanimously by the Association of Science Museum Directors, an
orginization representing over fifty of the top Science Museums in North
America. I've received a few messages in the last day or two, asking
exactly which Museums I'm talking about. Well, I'm not about to bore
everyone silly by listing all 50+, but here are a few representative names.
You can judge for yourself whether these indeed may be classified as "top".
Florida Museum of Natural History
Field Museum of Natural History
Peabody Museum of Natural History
Cincinnati Museum of Natural History
Denver Museum of Natural History
Museum of Science, Boston
Canadian Museum of Nature
Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia
American Museum of Natural History
California Academy of Sciences
Royal Ontario Museum
Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History
Cleveland Museum of Natural History
New Mexico Museum of Natural History
And so the list goes on.
