Tyrell Museum Update #3- Major New Exhibit Announced
The Royal Tyrrell Museum will be hosting "Konglong" (Chinese for dinosaur),
an exhibit of Chinese and Alberta dinosaur specimens this summer, from June
29-October 14. This exhibit is largely made up of the large Ex Terra
Canada-China Dinosaur Project travelling exhibit that was set up in
Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, Japan and Singapore. If you missed your chance
to see it over the past 3 years, here is another opportunity. The exhibit
will feature 11 new species of dinosaurs, four different kinds of dinosaur
eggs, and new species of turtles, crocodiles, lizards and mammals. There is
a minor surcharge ($1-$1.50 per person), plus regular admission to see
Konglong. I'll report on what specific mounts will be utilized once crates
get here and are unpacked/assembled.
