        A good short source on this subject, for anyone interested, is in a
chapter entitled, "Other Mesozoic vertebrates of the land, sea, and air" by
some guy named Kevin Padian in the book "The Age of Dinosaurs:  Short
Courses in Paleontology No. 2" (QE862.D5.A34.1989), IMHO one of the best
short mesozoological references around.
