Dinosaur Genera List corrections #44
This one is courtesy of Tracy Ford and Gary Kerr. Add the following entry to
the list:
Brontoraptor Redman, 1995 [nomen nudum]
It is to be described by James Siegwarth et al., a robust megalosaur with an
ilium of unique morphology and femora smaller than but proportionately more
massive than those of _Tyrannosaurus_. Patrick Redman published the name,
without a type species name or a formal description, in his article in the
Dinamation International newsletter Paleo Horizons, Winter 1995 issue. The
remains come from the same quarry (Nail Quarry) as the type specimen of
_Edmarka rex_, but are easily distinguished from the latter material.
The genera count goes up to 783.
