It's also worth noting that a woodland environment doesn't preclude high
top-end speed or agility. White tail deer, a woodlands species, have a
speed comparable to the closely related mule deer, which live in more
open country.
Modern analogies might shift T. Rex back into the open, as woodland
predators tend to be somewhat smaller than their open country
equivalents.
