When a croc or an iguana gets overheated they get stressed.
They thermoregulate by diving into the water or seeking a
cooler spot. The BMR of humans and mammals as well as the
Respiratory Quotient is more or less constant with only certain
disorders affecting it. In ecothermic reptiles metabolism
varies with temperature.
