Alaskan dino site
The site is along the Colville River, North Slope of Alaska and is a
Maastrichtian high latitude fauna. The find was first described by Brouwers
et al in Science, 1987, followed by a description by Clemens and Nelm in
Geology, 1993. There is no formal name to the site other than to the
richest bone bed, termed the Liscomb bone bed, after the now-deceased
geologist who identified the locality.
