Some authentic Greek words, from Liddell-Scott-Jones (Greek-
English Lexicon), with help from S.C. Woodhouse's English-Greek
Dictionary: (E = eta; e = epsilon; O = omega; o = omicron)
long-necked: makrotrachElos (or makrauchEn)
long-legged: makroskelEs
long-tailed: makrokerkos
long-toed: makrodaktylos (daktylos = toe, finger, dactyl)
long-armed: makrocheir
long-winged: makropteros
long-limbed: makrokOlos
balanced: isorropos (or isorrhopos)
unequally balanced: anisorropos (or anisorrhopos)
index finger: deiktikos (first found in author of 5th c. A.D.)
thumb: anticheir
hand: cheir
arm: brachiOn
forearm: pEchys
hitch-hike: (not found; Modern Greek has Oto-stop [auto-stop])
long-headed: makrokephalos
