"Edmontosaurus, like other duckbills, varied considerably with age 
and, apparently, by sex. As a result, many species formerly believed 
to be other kinds of duckbilled dinosaurs are now thought to be 
different ages and genders of Edmontosaurus. For example, Anatosaurus 
was simply a young Edmontosaurus, and the two species of 
Edmontosaurus, regalis and annectens, may represent only different 
sexes of the same animal. Edmontosaurus regalis is the rarer of the 
two, and has more robust, higher skull in comparison to its length. 
Since, for uncertain reasons, female animals are more common among 
fossils, Edmontosaurus may be the female."
