Re: GREAT WHOPPER HORNED DINOSAURS?
Are there any scraps of bone that suggest animals this size? The
answer to the question "could we have been missing animals this big for
over a hundred years of paleontology?" is, as demonstrated by the many
new finds in North America (a whole slew of new centrosaurines,
stygimoloch, giant megalosaurs, Seismosaurus, etc.) and the scrappy
nature of many other finds (Ultrasauros, for ex.) probably yes, but it still
seems unusual that nobody would even have found a scrap of giant duckbill
or ceratopian from what seems like a relatively well-known time period.
Or has somebody? It's possible that somebody has found something
like this and they're not being all that vocal about it, or maybe it's
just sitting in a drawer.
