Crocodile program on Discovery channel

The crocodile program last week was good, except for the title:

        Crocodiles: Heirs to the Dinosaurs

This title makes it seem that crocs descended from dinos.
In fact, they are dino uncles; they preceded the dinosaurs.
The only clue to why they gave it that title was the statement
(quoting from memory):

        "... while the dinosaurs have died out, the crocodiles
         are still around"

Even that is misleading... it ignores the bird-as-dinosaur theory.
But that still doesn't make them dinosaur "heirs".
