2nd law of thermodyamics
This is an old favorite of the creationists. The flaw in the
argument is simply that the second law only applies to CLOSED
systems. Th e earth as whole is an almostd closed system, and
the solar systsem is an even better approximation to a closed
system, but the biosphere (not that one in Arizona) certainly is
not a closed system. As order increases in living things it is
at the expense o f increasing disorder in the rest of the world.
Strictly speaking it is entropy that i ncreases, not disorder, but
the above su mmary is near enough. Why bother to argue with
creationists. Logic does not i nflu ence them.
