Are the South African localities part of the African Rift valley? If they
aren't, and I know that many australopithecine fossils have been recovered
from these localities, then you can't possibly say that "100% of the
pre-Homo erectus fossils were found in the African Rift valley". ;-)

I agree with you on that, but only for dinosaurs.
