I would like to bring to your attention this work which describes Taiwan's
wildlife and its conservation from prehistoric times to the 1980's.
Originally published as a volume of the COA Forestry Series (Vol. 20,
1989), it is written at a level useful to a wide audience, from the general
public to postgraduate researchers. It includes several maps, tables and
photographs of Taiwan's wildlife. Physical description: soft cover, with
color illustrations; English only (81 pp.) or Chinese and English (115
pp.), 28 cm.

Thanks to the kindness of the authors, a limited number of copies of this
volume are available free of charge. Please contact Mary Sears to request
a copy (msears@oeb.harvard.edu). Please specify English or English/Chinese
edition.
