summer prospecting ?
Last year I found three vertabre. Each decending in size from @ L=4.5",
W=3.5", H=4" and the later two @ 0.3" smaller. I think its from some form
of Haradasauridae. I found them just outside of Wolf Creek Montana. The
vert. have no cheverons or neural spine(s) petruding from the centrum.
Maybe they weatherd off or never had any. Also the anterior and prosterior
sides of the vert. are concave. The fossils med/drk gray are highly
weathered and have lichens on them but not cracked. Over the summer I
plan on going back and seeing what I can find
and if I find anything what do I do. I am an amature something or other
planning to have a carrier in vertebrate paleontology. Evertime I think
about fossils, dirt, labratories, etc. I get wobbly in the legs and light
headed. I really don't care what I have to do to complete my education
and I feel that hands on experance is an extreamly important part of the
process. (only if it is tempered with the onslaught of text and professors)
But for me to go out and thrash on what may or may not be there doesn't feel
right. I am taking sugestions 24-7, the more input recieve, the sounder
my judgement.
