hair pulling, contentious replies and stegosaurs by Battattttt

If you can't read this message, write and tell me. Here's my collection of
previously unsuccessfully posted messages amalgamated..

Alright, so I was using the wrong address...that might explain things [it
didn't!]. So here's a couple of messages as one (let's see if i can remember
what i wrote first time round...)

RE UNIFORM MUSCULATURE

Let's get this clear: I'm sorry, dinosaurs don't have uniform musculature if you
want to argue like that (bipeds and quadrupeds) but YOU'RE WRONG - ankylosaurs
are not 'short legged sprawlers'. They have long legs like other dinosaurs, and
your argument here is seemingly coloured by cartoonistic stereotype. Go and look
at an ankylosaur fossil! All dinosaurs have erect limbs that move parasagitally,
if not then explain their trackways! (contention a gogo... yes, here we go go)

But I don't want to become someone who defends a notion of uniform musculature
in Dinosauria, and I knew I shouldn't have said it. Don't get back to me on
this, just go and read my original message...

Where do you get a name like flying goat anyway...

STEGOSAURUS UNGULATUS BY BATTATTT (I don't know how to spell Battatttt)

This model is great but I have two problems with it ;
1) Can it be (or has it been?) proven that S. tail spikes were horizontal, as
they are in the model? In 1987 I read that the 'beveling on the spike
bases...shows that they diverged from the tail tip.. like a pin cushion'
2) The model lacks a throat sac covered in ossicles, a feature almost definitely
proved to exist since the discovery of the last S. (a stenops I think) somewhere
in the Rocky Mountain area.

Maybe the plates should be more colourful. Incidentally, hands up if you think
S. plates were horn covered. Now hands up if you think skin covered...

Has an allosaur with brontosaur bite marks been found? Or is all this talk of
tossing brontosaurs just the fruit of a diseased mind?

Well, I'll be here all day..
