He may never have actually been called a paleontologist (I'm not certain
that he never has) but it has certainly been hinted at. It was mentioned in
at least one episode that he was a paleontology major in college, and one
would expect a paleontology major to be a paleontologist.
Then again, I was an AeroSpace major and am now an MBA.......

We've seen Ross' apartment. In one of the early episodes, the guyz were
over putting together furniture. I'm not sure we've seen it since he's
settled in.....
