Jurassic Intelligence

Dinosaurs and humans both have cognitive adaptations specific
to given environments, times, social practices and so forth. It is
pointless to speak of "intelligence" -- t'aint no such animal, in my
view. All Diamond has proved is that the evolution of any particular
set of cognitive adaptations is highly improbable -- but we knew
that anyway. To assume that cognitive adaptations and abilities can
be meaningfully compared across species, let alone across space, is
absurd.
