It is almost certainly distinct from Diplodocus.  Its pelvis is
actually more similar to that of Apatosaurus than to that of
Diplodocus.  But in terms of proportions it is closer to Diplodocus.

Thus if Supersaurus is really close to Diplodocus, than it is definately
distinct.
