NEW BOOK!
Well gang - the feeding frenzy is in full swing at the NMNH bookstore/
Museum Shop. I found it first and now Mike Brett-Surman has literally
run up there to get his before they run out.
Colbert, Edwin H. 1995. The Little Dinosaurs of Ghost Ranch. Columbia
University Press, NY. 250 p. ISBN 0-231-08236-3. $29.95 American.
Looks like a neat book on Colbert's thoughts on Coelophysis
(aka RRRRRRRRRRRRioarrrrrrrrrribasaurus) with a lot of history
of Ghost Ranch, etc. Will SKIM through it this weekend, although
will have thoughts on some research for most of it. Some of the subject
matter reminds me of a tape of an interview with EHC done by Don Glut
that I believe he was going to market for esoteric reasons but got the
Dino Society ok, as I recall.
RE; Bone growth - see Chinsamy & Dodson in American Scientist
a few issues ago.
Y'all have a good weekend and as we say in the South
Ciao Y'all
