Oh, by the way, the other reason to suppose that the frill of
Triceratops *was* used in protection is that some have been
found with gouges - gouges that match the size and placement
of Triceratops horns. In short the protection was against
goring by rival Triceratops, not against tyrannosaurs.
[In fact I seem to remember such a gouge on the Triceratops
skull at the University of Kansas Natural History Museum].
