egg size

Just a note on the size of elephant bird eggs. The largest of the Aepyornis
were found on Madagascar (not in australia)> They were described as
33 X24 cm with an estimated capacity of 9 lt. This makes them the largest
known single cell. Shells have be radiocarbon dated to as recent as
1000+/- 150 ybp
