The "models" thread is leading directly to an improvement in the display
of a 200-year-old institution!
That's more than we're likely to accomplish by trading doggerel or (abuse
mode on) vilage-idiot "theories" that were introduced only because the
poster wanted to sound like he had ideas. "Hey! I just had an idea! What
if dinosaurs communicated by farting, with different chemicals in the spew
from different species? Yeah, I know there's no support for it, but let's
talk about it! Can someone tell me if dinosaurs had noses?" Ri-i-i-i-ght.

So no, by all means, keep up the popular-culture thread. It is not only
dear to many dino-living hearts, but it easily crosses into scholarship.
