Sure it would.  They don't have any other to pass on, so if they
can breed, they must pass on their amphibian DNA.  The point was
that these creatures are _not_ dinosaurs - they are, as someone
whose name I disremember said in reference to a thread I started
a couple years ago - "bizarre chimeras", neither fish nor fowl.
