Re: the deccan antipode



Though the antipode problem is basically irrelavant, the same principles
could be applied to regions on the globe where the periphery of the P and S
waves' shadow zones overlap,  coincidentally at 103 degrees from the focus
(ground zero). Remember the Deccan Flood volcanism _began_ several thousands
of years before the impact and continued intermittantly well after said
impact so we need to look elswhere for a place where seismic amplification
effects on terrain may be. Youre right abou only God knowing how to test it,
but I will certainly try to think up something :-)
